Study without a study permit for work permit holders. A new temporary public policy dated September 9 lets eligible work permit holders study part-time without a study permit. The limit is 6 months or the end of the work permit, whichever comes first. IRCC is notifying eligible permit holders directly. The measure runs until December 31, 2027, and full-time study still needs a study permit. It suits workers who need short licensing or bridging courses (trades, nursing, lab technicians). IRCC stresses it is not a new pathway to Canada.
